One’s gender should never be a determinant of the right to Education. Girls should have equal access to quality education as their male counterparts without the fear of threats, harassment, abduction, or sexual violence. Increased investment in girls’ Education is essential in ensuring girls and young women can demand their rights, hold decision-makers accountable, contribute significantly to policies, and challenge the status quo.

Meet the first beneficiaries of our scholarship award; While Comfort Tuesday emerged as the winner, Festa Godswill and Charity Johnson emerged as 1st and 2nd runners-up. Regardless of their positions, they would all receive the same scholarship entitlement.

Chief Nglass Gogonte, a major Stakeholder in Isotoyo community, expressed his gratitude to forher Organization. He stated that this was the first time something like this had happened in the village, especially after repeated promises from other NGOs and government bodies. He commended forher for providing this opportunity to the community and always thinking of them.

Through our Scholarship award, under the Education forher program, we are ensuring young girls don’t only go to school but stay in school. With over 10 million out-of-school girls, we aim to provide millions of girls across Nigeria with safe, quality, gender-transformative Education so they may find their voices and learn to lead. We will continue to work with and in line with the United Nations to ensure that we significantly reduce this number. We support girls’ Education because it has a broad impact on human development and in transforming communities.
