Our impact Story!

A year ago, we embarked on a life-changing mission in the heart of Isotoyo, a community of internally displaced persons in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

We launched one of our programs called ‘Education forher,’ a scholarship grant specially designed to assist girls in funding their education without the burden of financial constraints forcing them to drop out of school.

During our visit, we conducted a rigorous examination, and the outcomes were nothing short of extraordinary. Three exceptional girls emerged as deserving recipients of our scholarships. Comfort Tuesday clinched the top position, while Festa Godswill and Charity Johnson earned the 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively. Regardless of their ranks, we believed that all three girls deserved equal opportunities to unlock their full potential.

Unfortunately, Charity faced unforeseen circumstances that prevented her from returning to school with the other girls. Nevertheless, her scholarship remains open, ready to welcome her whenever she is ready to continue her educational journey.

Today, we celebrate Comfort and Festa, who courageously stepped out of their comfort zone, leaving their village to embrace the opportunities of city life as they embarked on their secondary education journey. Their accomplishments in their first year are truly commendable, with Comfort securing the 5th position out of 50 students and Festa securing the 8th position.

While we recognize that there are subjects where the girls didn’t do better, especially in mathematics and basic technology, we are confident that with the right guidance and additional moral classes, they will improve.

These inspiring girls exemplify the transformative power of education when combined with dedication and perseverance. It serves as a poignant reminder that, given the opportunity, girls rise and shine, becoming architects of their future.
